Well now, this happens to be one of my favourite subjects. I don’t know WHY I started this as a post, as it is a positively huge subject…

I have never quite understood why people dress up to go to their job with people they probably hate, or walk down the street dodging the gaze of those they don’t want the attention of, yet when they get back to the home they really love, they slouch around in the worst clothes possible. ‘To be comfortable.’ Comfortable? My dears, if you are not comfortable in your best clothes, you are not buying the right clothes. And if your most comfortable clothes look horrid, you have not yet discovered the proper art of lounging. Resting. Grazing. Yes alright, posing! But in the most relaxed and satisfying manner.

Take a tip from old Hollywood and slip into something soft AND glamourous. I intend to one day provide you with my own designs. But until then, at least treat yourself to some lovely slippers. Everyone knows that shoes are where it all begins. And happily, Summer is here and there is no need for heavy, woolly slippers. Comfy though they may be, it is a pleasure to stuff them to the back of our wardrobes in exchange for something lighter and prettier; just enough to protect your delicate toes and indeed twinkle your toes and set off pretty ankles with a flash of coloured satin, thus: This seems a good compromise between the undeniable glamour of kitten-heel mules to twist your ankle in, and comfort. Well-made, flattering and inexpensive, I would highly recommend these as the first step to exploring life indoors:

Also available in proper slinky black, and delectable pinky silver.
